John Wesley declares that money is “an excellent gift of God” and points out that it is “the love of money,” not money itself, that is the source of evil. He challenges his followers to “gain (earn) all you can.” Jesus’s parables also lift up the spiritual value of responsible work to earn money. How we are called as followers of Jesus to relate to the necessity of money in our lives?
