The purpose
As Jesus' disciples, our purpose is to love and serve our community and world through ministries that transform lives, build stronger individuals and healthy families.
The Vision
We believe that the love of God and the call to justice, compassion, love, and mercy extends beyond our walls and into the community. We seek to understand as well as demonstrate what the kingdom of God is really about.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
As United Methodists, we hold to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith. We value the intellect as well as modern science, and we look to the Bible as the authoritative guide for faith and practice. We have a passionate faith with strong convictions, and we are willing to engage in discussions that involve the gray areas of life and faith.
We are willing to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do so with grace and compassion.
Methodists have been known for our emphasis on faith lived tangibly in our community. We have historically valued well-informed and passionate preaching, lively worship, and small groups that enable personal growth.
We have open hearts, and open minds–and welcome anyone interested in learning more about the Christian faith. We stand on the Wesleyan Quadrilateral of scripture, reason, tradition, and experience.
