Sr. Youth Group
We play games, we have a chance to talk to one another, learn about who we are in God’s world and who God is in our lives. All youth grades 6-12 are invited and welcome—bring a friend!
The second Wednesday of every month, interested youth will go to Skyway Elementary 3:45-5:00pm to hang out with the after school kids, play games, help with homework, color or play Legos. It’s way more fun than you would think! We arrange transportation from Middle Schools-text or call Emily Wise 208-819-2795 if you are interested in coming that month. Bring some $ for an after school snack at Mavericks!

Summer 2017 Youth Mission Trips!
Our summer service and mission opportunities have been booked! IMP is geared toward our Middle School students and L.A.S.T. is geared toward our High School Students. Each mission opportunity is $300 per person. While that sounds like a lot, saving a little from here on out makes a HUGE difference. Fundraising events can also happen when we know who is interested. We will have sign-ups in February. Friends are welcome too! Questions? email Pastor Heather firstname.lastname@example.org
Idaho Mission Project (Middle School) Rathdrum ID July 30-August 4, 2017 Idaho Mission Project is a service and adventure-based program run out of Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center in beautiful North Idaho. Our vision is to be the leading Mission Trip Partnership Program for church youth groups and though we are a United Methodist Ministry, we are open and invite all Christian youth groups to participate and come together to put your faith in action. Our goal is to provide an all inclusive week long project that has meaningful work projects ready to go for organizations and people in need. We take care of all your food, accommodations, and logistical concerns. Just bring yourself and transportation. And finally, you will be part of a Christian Camp community during your stay here and we are ready to provide a week of play and adventure options to help your youth experience all that North Idaho can offer. L.A.S.T (Learning & Serving Together) Seattle, WA June 25-30 L.A.S.T. is a service-learning project that links small groups of youth and adults with service opportunities. We don’t stop at service; youth and adults are encouraged to think through what they are doing from a biblical perspective. We also study together the root causes of poverty and examine ways in which we all can be a part of the greater solution. Jesus’ ministry was full of examples of him meeting the needs of others. He healed physical and mental sickness, taught people how to live lives full of wonder and grace, and challenged the systems and authorities that kept people in poverty. Service for Jesus was more than a way of helping people, it was a way of getting to know them. For Jesus service was about relationships. This is our philosophy. As we get to know other people, especially those different from ourselves, we learn things about ourselves and can understand who God is calling us to be more fully!
